Good and True. That is enough.
Every once in a while I listen well enough to hear the messages for me. It always feels like messages from many "people", although I don't know what people in the spiritual world are called. I've taken to calling them my light collective, a term I heard years ago. Below is the message that ran through my head a few mornings ago when I was feeling depleted and disappointed / sad / angry that so many people don't care about people who die for no reason except that "the system" (both real systems with brick, mortar, policies, and employees, and socially constructed systems) did not want them to live. It feels like a message from my light collective.
[Your fiance] is good and true.
You are good and true.
Together you are good and true.
That is enough.
You do not have to produce to prove your goodness.
You core, which is good and true.
When you are ready,
You can go back.
Try to change the world,
One interaction, space, opportunity, project at a time.
Because that’s what you do.
It’s who you are
But consider holding it more lightly.
Dance with it.
Do not carry it.
No one can shoulder it the way you do and survive.
Hold it lightly.
Let it be an expression of who you are.
Not what you are.
Confusing the two has dire consequences.
We can not overstate this.
The heaviness will compress you.
Laughter will be the first to leave.
Then joy, happiness, light.
You will be left with smallness, darkness, heaviness, burden, and responsibility.
With light, laughter, and dance.
With heaviness, darkness, and separation.
You can live your calling either way.
We’re saddened to think of you choosing the latter path.
You are so much more you on the first path.
You are so much more a part of the world,
In both a physical and spiritual sense.
These are our wishes for you.
Yes, the world should be better.
Yes, every beautiful soul in a human body should be seen, loved, valued.
Yes, there’s a lot of work to be done to make this happen.
Yes, you have a role to play.
But you choose how to play that role.
Your light collective
